Marian Nun Who Threw Perfect Pitch Gets Her Own Baseball Card

Marian's Sister Mary Jo Sobieck, who threw a perfect pitch, gets her own baseball card and will be signing them at the school later today.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL β€” Marian Catholic's pitching sensation Sister Mary Jo Sobieck is getting her own baseball card and she'll be signing them at the high school Monday afternoon.

The "Curveball Queen" wowed the nation last August when she threw a perfect pitch during Marian's school night at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Topps Allen and Ginter Baseball Trading Card company learned she was a lifelong baseball fan and an accomplished athlete and honored here by creating her own 2019 card.

Sister Mary Jo will sign 260 baseball cards that will be inserted into random Topps trading card packs at 2:30 p.m., Mon, April 8 in Marian's West Gym at 700 Ashland Ave. in Chicago Heights. The signing will take place in the West Gym.
