Leadership is about β€œinspiration” says Mascolino.

β€œTo lead a team, you must be able to inspire a team,” said Mascolino, who began his first responder career with the Glenwood Fire Department in 1990. β€œAnd leadership is also about knowing how to deploy that team, their training, and other resources in an emergency situation.”
