Missing Crete Man, 18, Found Dead: Will County Sheriff
Samuel N. Green was found deceased Sunday afternoon, the Will County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
CRETE, IL — A Crete man reported missing last week was found dead Sunday, the Will County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
Samuel N. Green, 18, was found deceased near a drain pipe near his home in unincorporated Crete, the sheriff's office said. Green had been missing since Wednesday afternoon. His body was discovered Sunday around noon, authorities said.
Sunday's search for Green was one of several since he had been reported missing. Green reportedly suffered schizophrenia, paranoia, and other undiagnosed mental illnesses, authorities advised as they sought information about his location. Authorities last week deployed K9 and drone resources in a search of the area his home on S. Plum Valley. A reverse 911 was conducted by the Laraway Communications Center (LCC) advising the public of the missing persons incident. The efforts Sunday focused on the area near Green's home in the 23800 block of S. Plum Valley.
