Nephews Heist Aunt’s Electronics: Blotter

The nephew told a neighbor he had lost the key to his aunt's home.

A Chicago Heights woman’s nephew stole several thousand dollars worth of electronics from her home in the 0 block of W. 15th Street on Oct. 29, according to police.

A neighbor witness says he saw the woman’s nephew around 2 p.m. that day, as he was trying to gain entry through a back window, according to reports. The nephew told the neighbor he had lost his key, but wanted to get in to rest for a little while, police say.

Twenty minutes later, the neighbor saw the woman’s nephew and another man, suspected to be the nephew’s brother, moving stolen televisions and other electronics out the rear of the house and into a shopping cart. The two men were last seen moving west bound down the alley.
