Olympia Fields Police Blotter: Rental Car Never Makes It Back to Hertz

Hertz Rental Car, at 254 W. 162nd St. in South Holland, delivered a car to a Chicago man in Olympia Fields on April 15 and has not gotten it back, according to the report. The red 2010 Toyota Camry was delivered to 21000 Western Avenue, where the man picked it up. He was supposed to return the car on July 22, but did not, an employee of the company told police. Hertz has called and sent letters to the man, with no response, and police deemed the vehicle stolen.

Job-Related Threat

A 20-year-old East Hazel Crest woman, who is an employee at Marsol Enterprises in Olympia Fields, told police she received a call on her phone at 2 a.m. from a block number. The unknown female caller told the woman that if she took her job, she would kill her, according to the report. The East Hazel Crest woman told police she hadn’t had any altercations with other employees but that the company has a high turnover rate.
