One Injured In Chicago Heights Motorcycle Collision

A collision between a yellow Yamaha motorcycle and a red Toyota Corolla Tuesday in Chicago Heights has left one man with severe head trauma.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — A collision between a yellow Yamaha motorcycle and a red Toyota Corolla Tuesday afternoon in Chicago Heights has left one man injured with severe head trauma, authorities said.

Chicago Heights Police said that the collision happened at about 2:12 p.m. on the first block of West 16th Street, WBBM Newsradio reported. Police said they found the Toyota with “extensive front end damage” and the motorcycle with “extensive damage,” the radio station reported.

The motorcyclist was taken to Franciscan Health in Olympia Fields. He had severe head trauma and injuries to his lower body, police said.

The crash is under investigation by Chicago Heights police and the South Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team.
