Packers Hire Dist. 206 Alum Luke Butkus As Offensive Line Coach
Dist. 206 alumn Luke Butkus, nephew of Bears Hall of Famer Dick Butkus, is the new assistant offensive coach for the Packers.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — Dist. 206 alumn Luke Butkus, nephew of Bears Hall of Fame linebacker Dick Butkus, has been hired by the Packers as their assistant offensive line coach.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur made the announcement last week. Butkus, 39, has spent the last three seasons at the University of Illinois as offensive line coach under coach Lovie Smith's program.
Butkus played for the Illini, where he was a two-time, All-Big Ten selection. He also was captain of the team when it won the Big Ten championship in 2001. He attended a Bears training camp in 2002.

He was born in Steger, and he still has family in the area.
