Heights Paraplegic Shot and Killed in His Driveway

The victim was found slumped over in a wheelchair outside his home, police said.

A paralyzedΒ Chicago Heights man was shot and killed Monday night during an argument in the driveway of his home, according to police.

Police found Kevin Allison, 42, of the 500 block of Concord Court, slumped over in his wheelchair around 9:20 p.m., after someone reported a possible shooting,Β Chief of Detectives Joe Bruni told Tribune reporters.

Police had not made any arrests and were still looking for witnesses Tuesday. Allison was a registered sex offender with anΒ extensive criminal record, according to Sun-Times Media.Β Allison was convicted of aggravated criminal sex abuse/bodily harm in Cook County nearly 20 years ago.Β 

Allison was pronounced dead at 9:44 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Allison also had past charges ofΒ theft,Β assault and battery. HeΒ was scheduled to appear in Markham Courthouse in August on a misdemeanor aggravated assault charge.
