PARK FOREST, IL — The Village of Park Forest has issued a mandatory water boil order through Monday after a sample of water showed contamination in some areas.

Officials did not say what the contamination is. However, late Friday afternoon, they alerted residents that they should boil tap water for food preparation, brushing teeth, making ice and other uses. Bottled water should also be used. The order would remain in place until Monday morning at the latest, officials said.
