Pregnant Woman Shot in Sauk Village
Man with a shotgun fired into her house Wednesday night.

A pregnant woman shot through the wall of her Sauk Village home by a shotgun-wielding man outside is in serious condition at Stroger Hospital, reports the Chicago Tribune, citing police and hospital officials.
Three men came to the home in the 22400 block of Strassburg Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. One knocked on the door, and a man inside the house answered. As he explained that the person they were looking for didn’t live there, one of the man fired into the wall of the house, police said, striking the pregnant woman inside the house in the abdomen. The three then ran away.
The house is around the corner from Strassburg Elementary School.
