Rescued Harvey Dogs Up For Adoption Saturday
A few of the dogs rescued from an abandoned home in Harvey last month will be available for adoption at the South Suburban Humane Society.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — A few of the dogs rescued from poor conditions at an abandoned home in Harvey last month are ready for adoption. The South Suburban Humane Society, which has cared for the 25 dogs and set up foster care for them, will hold an adoption event this Saturday at their shelter facility located at 1103 W. End Ave. in Chicago Heights.
Applications will be accepted at the shelter from noon until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29.
"The dogs all love other dogs and would do best going to a home with a confident other dog," read a lengthy Facebook post from the shelter explaining a few of the traits of the dogs. Find more information about the dogs, and photos of them, below.

Adoptions fees are $175 and they all must leave with a leash and harness for an additional $20, according to the shelter.
