Roller Derby - Check Out The May Schedule!

Plenty of bouts to pick from!

We start out May with a pair of bouts at Coachlite Roller Rink in Roselle on May 6. In game one, the Chicago Riots Junior Roller Derby team makes their 2023 debut. They will be taking on a combined team from the Radioactive Rollers and Rockford Tantrums in game one. The second game features the visiting No Coast Roller Derby from Lincoln, Nebraska, taking on home-team Chicago-Style Roller Derby.

Also on May 6, Rockford Rage is hosting the Brewcity Bruisers (Milwaukee). Both teams have had some impressive games already this year -this should be a great bout!

The following Saturday, May 13, features something for the south side suburbs as well as the north. The Chicago Knockouts once again take to the track playing their aggressive brawl style of derby. This is the Knockouts last home game before their summer break – don’t miss the opportunity to see them one more time! The Homewood location is just off I294. If you plan on going – get your tickets early – they sold out last month!

Also on May 13 (and a little bit of a drive even for northern suburbs) the Root River Rollers in Racine, Wisconsin, are hosting the Rockford Rage. Root River has put together a good team – but are they good enough to take on Rockford? We shall see!

If you’re always busy on Saturdays, Sunday, May 21 is your lucky day. The Illiana Derby Dames (Lynwood, Illinois) are starting their home season schedule with at bout at Lynwood Roller Rink. Illiana has a good blend of experience and rookies – this will be a fun one to watch!
