The day is rapidly approaching. Oh, that fateful day. The day we try to make as memorable as possible, but we have all wanted to forget at some point in our lives.

For me, it was in high school when I gave a girl, who I had decided in my mind I was dating, some very nice earrings (among high school standards) only to see her scoot nervously away from me and cover her eyes. Her response? "I hope those weren't expensive." Ouch.

Of course I was embarrassed but I can manage a half-hearted laugh about the moment today... I guess.

Anyway, I'm sure I'm not the only one with a hilarious and pathetically embarrassing Valentine's Day moment to share. Whether you dialed the wrong number and read a page-long poem to a stranger, or you hit a tree trying to sneak a V-Day smooch while driving, tell us about it and we'll publish your story on Monday.
