CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL — Marian Catholic's Sister Mary Jo Sobieck's video of a perfect strike during a White Sox game last year is up for an ESPY award.

Sobiek took the mound and followed a quick ball trick with a perfect strike to Lucas Giolito while throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the Chicago White Sox against the Kansas City Royals last August on "Marian Catholic Night" at Guaranteed Rate Field.

The video that wowed the south suburbs — and the country — has been nominated for the "Best Viral Moment" ESPY award this year.

The nun's curveball also earned her a bobblehead and a Topps baseball card. Last week, she appeared on Nickelodeon's "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader."

You can vote for Sobieck (or her competitors...but, seriously...) at the ESPY Awards' website.
