STEGER, IL — A police officer was injured last month after officials said a suspect drove away from police with the officer inside their car.
Hobart police told Patch they were assisting Steger police Feb. 23 in arresting a man wanted in connection to a crime. Police did not immediately respond to questions on the identity of the man or what crime he was wanted in connection to.
While police pulled the man over near the intersection of Fifth and Georgina streets, an officer approached the vehicle. Police said the suspect then attempted to drive away but the officer had entered the vehicle by then.
