Steger Fire Department Offers Cleaning Kits For Flood Victims
Steger's fire department has 100 free flood clean-up kits and food donations for flood victims, officials said.

STEGER, IL — The Village of Steger's fire department is offering victims of Thursday morning's flash floods food assistance and clean-up kits donated by the Red Cross.
According to Red Cross spokeswoman Holly Baker, the aid organization donated 100 flood clean-up kits to the fire department. They are free for Steger residents.
"We are continuing to monitor the flooding, as well to be ready to provide additional assistance if needed to help people going through this disaster," she said.

A representative from the fire department said that they also have nonperishable food items available for folks who may have lost groceries in the aftermath of the storms.
Residents can pick up the items at any time, he said.
