Steger Man Accused Of Downloading Child Pornography: Police
Police said they arrested Carter Watson, 21, after receiving a tip from the attorney general that Watson had child pornography on Discord.
STEGER, IL — A 21-year-old Steger man is facing charges of child pornography after police said they received a tip that Carter Watson was uploading explicit images onto Discord.
Police said Watson had child pornography on his cellphone and laptop which were shared through the messing app. According to detectives, officers found the images on both devices in October.
Will County officials told Patch the tip came from the Illinois Attorney General's Office. Watson was arrested by Steger police on March 18 and is currently in Will County Jail.

A Will County judge issued a bond of $2 million for Watson's release pending trial. He is due back in court April 19.
