Tails Of Redemption Has Two Pooches Ready For A 'Furever' Home
Two dogs that graduated from the Cook County Sheriff's Office's Tails of Redemption program are looking for new homes.

COOK COUNTY, IL β Two pooches that graduated from the Cook County Sheriff's Office's Tails of Redemption program are looking for new homes.
The program pairs dogs at risk of being euthanized with long-term inmates at Cook County Jail for training, and these two dogs β a pittie mix and a staffy mix β have learned basic commands and are ready to spend the summer with you, the sheriff's office said.
Dash is a five-year-old pit bull mix, officers said, is big fan of belly rubs, long walks and food. He'd be great with an active family.

Sarge, the Staffordshire terrier mix, is 8 to 10 years old. Sarge, officials said, enjoys hanging with people and a good lounge. Heβs a lower energy guy, and a dog that did not know a lot of comfort in his other life. Officials believe heβd enjoy a family that would give him some senior serenity. Sarge also prefers to be the only pup in the house.
Adoption fees through Chicago Animal Care and Control are waived for both dogs. If youβre interested in meeting Dash or Sarge, please call: 312-603-4242 or email ccso.communications@cookcountyil.gov.
