Union Street Gallery Depicts the Many Sides of 'Being Human'
The "sometimes disturbing" new exhibit begins Oct. 12, with a reception Friday Oct. 21.

The art in the Union Street Gallery's fall National Juried Exhibit aims to show the many faces and figures of humanity.

Just a look at some of the art posted here gives a glimpse into the varying views of the 65 artists from 21 states involved in this new exhibit.Β
Dan Addington, owner of the Addington Gallery in Chicago, will be the judge of the exhibit. Cash awards of $500, $350 and $150 will be given to chosen artists at a special reception, taking place Oct. 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.Β

The exhibit will run from Oct. 12 to Nov. 12.Β
The exhibit and awards are sponsored by Chicago Heights Mayor David Gonzalez, the Chicago Heights City Council, State Sen. Toi Hutchinson and the mayor's accounting business Gonzalez and Associates.
