You didn't agree with our last winner, so we're bringing the competition back!
Several months ago, we held our first Chowdown Showdown. It was a grand affair, featuring gyros from Nick’s in Chicago Heights, Ariston in Hazel Crest and Athens in Homewood.
The winner was Athens, but we got quite a few dissatisfied readers telling us we screwed up the nominees. "Where's Perros Bros?" was the question of the day.
