Widespread power outages have been reported throughout Chicago Heights following severe storms Sunday afternoon.
ComEd is warning customers that it may take until 11:30 p.m. for power to return.
In the mean time, residents are advised to keep food safety in mind and limit the opening and closing of refrigerator doors.
