The complaint said Casper and Mantor were found in possession of less than five grams of a substance containing methamphetamine and less than 200 grams of psilocybin.

Mantor and Casper were additionally found in possession of digital scales and glass containers with white residue, the complaint said.

The two were arrested by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office around 1:30 pm. on January 24.

A sheriff’s office spokesperson said the drug bust occurred at the Super 8 by Wyndham, 577 Crystal Point Road in Crystal Lake.

The most serious charges against the two are Class X felonies, which carry six to 30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

The McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office filed petitions to detain Casper and Mantor pending trial, calling them real and present threats to the community and flight risks.

Prosecutors said Mantor was out on pre-trial release in another Class X drug case out of McHenry County at the time of the offense.

The judge said he found by clear and convincing evidence that Casper and Mantor committed the offenses and that they were willful flight risks.

Preliminary hearings are scheduled for February 23.
