2 With 'Limited Mobility' Rescued From Fire In McHenry County: Fire Official
The fire was reported Saturday morning in the 100 block of E. Todd Avenue in Woodstock.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — Firefighters saved two people who were unable to escape a house fire due to their limited mobility Saturday morning in Woodstock, fire officials said.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District was called to a single-story home in the 100 block of E. Todd Avenue in Woodstock at about 7:40 a.m. for the reported fire, according to a news release from the fire/rescue district.
Firefighters who responded to the blaze entered the home and found two people inside who were having a hard time getting out of the residence on their own due to their limited mobility, according to the news release.

Both people were evaluated by paramedics at the scene but declined any further treatment or to be transported to a hospital. Damage was limited to one room, and the home remains habitable as repairs are being made, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
