$21K Raised For Family Of Man, 27, Killed In Crash
Tyler King was adored by his colleagues at Condell Medical Center and had hopes of becoming a nurse.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — More than $21,000 has been raised for a local family who is mourning the loss of 27-year-old Tyler King, who was killed in a two-car crash earlier this month.
A GoFundMe set up to help his family cover expenses following the March 19 crash in Prairie Grove raised $21,341 in just three days, exceeding its fund-raising goal of $11,000. Meanwhile, funeral services have been set for the local man.
A visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry.

King is being remembered as a hard-working man who touched many lives, according to his obituary. King, a graduate of Prairie Grove High School, received a bachelor's degree in neuroscience from the University of Michigan and then went on to receive another bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in psychology.
He worked for Advocate Aurora Health - Condell in Libertyville where he was "loved and respected" by his managers, colleagues and patients, according to his obituary. He recently enrolled in the Advanced Nursing Program at Chamberlain College of Nursing and planned to become a nurse.

King was killed in a two-vehicle crash at about 3:10 p.m. on March 19. Authorities say he was driving a 2002 Toyota Highlander west on Route 176 west of Bayview Beach Road when his vehicle crossed the centerline and hit a 2001 Ford E350 Cargo truck head on.
King was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford, Eduardo Lopez-Peredo, of Wauconda, was airlifted to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
