Algonquin Hosts Easter Egg Hunt This Weekend

The egg hunt will be held at the park, 700 Lake Plumleigh Way in Algonquin, on Saturday morning.

ALGONQUIN, IL — The village will again host its annual Easter egg hunt at Algonquin Lakes Park.

The egg hunt will be held at the park, 700 Lake Plumleigh Way in Algonquin, on Saturday morning, according to village officials. The event is geared toward younger children, who can visit with the Easter bunny, and get their picture taken before and after the egg hunt.

Egg hunting will be divided into the following age categories: 0 to 2 years old with adult, 3 to 5 yer old children, and children who are 6 years old and older.

Photos with the bunny will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the hunt will start at 10 a.m.

Last year, more than 2,000 people stopped out for the annual egg hunt, said Stacey Vanenkevort, recreation director for the village of Algonquin.

"The weather is looking great for this Saturday so we are expecting a great turnout," she said.
