Coroner IDs Man Found Dead In Burning Truck

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The McHenry County Coroner's Office has identified a 20-year-old man found dead inside a vehicle last month near McHenry.

McHenry County Coroner Michael Rein told Patch.com DNA samples helped authorities to ID the man as Ravinder Saini of Prairie Grove. The cause of his death remains under investigation, he said.

The man's body was found in a vehicle that started on fire near West Ringwood Road and South Solon Road in unincorporated McHenry on May 4. At the time, severe burns initially prevented authorities from being able to identify the man, according to a news release from the coroner's office.

The coroner’s office is working with the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and McHenry Township Fire Department to investigate the death.
