D47 Seeks Bus Drivers, Substitute Teachers, Hosts Job Fairs

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — Crystal Lake Elementary District 47 will host hiring events in September as the school district looks to hire more bus drivers paraprofessionals and substitute teachers. The job fairs will run from 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 7 and from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 9.

The events will be held at the district’s administrative office (CORE Center), located at 300 Commerce Drive in Crystal Lake. Parking will be available in the main lot.

Some of the benefits for bus drivers, paraprofessional and substitute teachers include competitive pay and a pension, according to the District 47 news release. Bus drivers and paraprofessionals also receive paid training and have sick and personal days.

Bus drivers receive medical benefits and paraprofessional will have access to health benefits. Substitute teachers can benefit from a flexible schedule, according to the news release.
