District 155 Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know

CRYSTAL LAKE AND CARY, IL — Summer is almost over for Crystal Lake and Cary students. The first day of school in District 15 is Aug. 14.

Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

• Start date: Aug. 14
• Labor Day (no school): Sept. 2
• Early release days: Sept. 12, April 25
• Open House: 7 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 12
• Columbus Day (no school): Oct. 14
• Thanksgiving break (no school): Nov. 27-29
• Final exams: Dec. 19-20
• Winter break: Dec. 23-Jan. 3
• Institute days (no school): Jan. 6-7
• First day of second semester: Jan. 8
• Martin Luther King Day (no school): Jan. 20
• Presidents Day (no school): Feb. 17
• Spring break: March 24-28
• Day of non-attendance: April 18
• Graduation: May 17
• Final exams: May 21-22
• Last day of school (if no emergency days are used): May 22
