Dog Found Dead, Funds Raised For Family Left Homeless By Blaze: Report
The blaze broke out last week at a home in Cary.
CARY, IL — A dog who was first reported missing following a house fire in Cary has been found dead as area residents rally to raise funds for the local family left homeless following the blaze.
The fire broke out at about 3:55 p.m. on Wednesday in the 1300 block of Mulberry Lane in Cary and led to the partial collapse of the home, according to a news release from the Cary Fire Protection District.
Firefighters attempted to find and rescue a dog that was reported to still be inside the home at the time of the blaze but could not locate the animal.

Jagoda Bach, the daughter-in-law of the homeowner, told the Lake & McHenry County Scanner that the dog, who was named Hollie, did not make it out of the blaze.
No one was injured in the blaze, and the fire was brought under control within two hours.

The home and its contents have been considered a total loss and the family displaced by the fire are receiving assistance from other family members, according to the Lake & McHenry County Scanner. A Venmo account was set up to help support the home's owner, Lisa Bach, and the username is @Lisa-Bach-105. The last four digits of her number for verification are 0394, according to news reports.
“If you know Lisa you know asking for help is not easy for her. But you also know she will do anything to help those she loves. It’s time to help her,” Jagoda Bach said.
