Lake Roots Will Open Soon In Crystal Lake
The business is moving into the former Mr. A's Italian Beef in Crystal Lake at the corner of Route 14 and Dole Avenue.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — Lake Roots, a new cafe and curated market, will open soon in Crystal Lake.
The business is moving into the former Mr. A's Italian Beef in Crystal Lake at the corner of Route 14 and Dole Avenue. City officials approved a proposal for the business during city council and planning and zoning commission meetings in 2023.
In addition to the Mr. A's property, Lake Roots acquired two adjacent properties, which were rezoned from residential to commercial. The addition onto the shuttered Mr. A's building is planned for behind the existing building, and a patio area is proposed for "farther behind along Dole Avenue," according to city documents filed last year.
