Man, 65, Dies After Being Hit By Car Near Wonder Lake

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Coroner's Office has identified a 65-year-old Wonder Lake man who was killed after being hit by a car near Wonder Lake Thursday evening.

Jerry Williams, 65, of Wonder Lake, died in the Intensive Care Unit at Advocate Condell Medical Center following the collision in the 7300 block of Barnard Miller Road in unincorporated Wonder Lake, according to a news release from the coroner's office.

Preliminary results from an autopsy show Williams died from blunt force injuries as a result of a crash, according to the news release.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
