Man, Woman Found Dead In Car Parked In Roadway: Police

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A death investigation is underway after police found a man and woman unresponsive in a car parked on a roadway in Crystal Lake early Tuesday.

Authorities say the woman, 20, and man, 32, had no obvious signs of injury when they were found at about 5:30 a.m. in the 700 block of Coventry Lane. Emergency crews responded and attempted life-saving measures, police said.

Both the man and woman were pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Police Department.

The McHenry County Coroner's Office was called to the scene and the cause of the deaths are being investigated.

"While we are still gathering evidence, we are confident there is no danger to the public as a result of this incident," police said.
