New Outdoor Market Coming To Lake County This Summer

The village of Lake Villa announced the launch of its Fresh Friday Market, which will take part in Lehman Park this summer.

LAKE VILLA, IL — A new market is coming to Lake County this summer.

The village of Lake Villa announced the launch of its Fresh Friday Market, which is a brand-new community event series that will take place this summer in Lehmann Park, 148 Cedar Avenue, Lake Villa, according to a news release from the village of Lake Villa.

Designed to bring residents and visitors together, the Fresh Friday Market will highlight local
goods, fresh produce, artisanal crafts, and more. The market will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on the last Friday of each month from June through September and the first market will be on June 28.

“The Fresh Friday Market represents an exciting step forward in expanding the number of
community events hosted in Lake Villa,” Lake Villa Mayor James McDonald said. “We’re especially proud to bring more activities and events to the downtown area, creating opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy all that our community has to offer.”

Vendor Opportunities Available

The village of Lake Villa is looking for local vendors to take part in its Fresh Friday Market.

The village is seeking vendors who offer:

  • Edible goods for human consumption, such as fruit, vegetables, edible grains, nuts and berries, apiary products, maple sugars or syrups.
  • Non-edible plants, including cut or potted flowers.
  • Knife sharpening service
