No One Injured In Chimney Fire At McHenry County Home

The McHenry Township Fire Protection District responded to the blaze in the 3000 block of Mourine Lane in McHenry on Tuesday evening.

The fire was brought under control in ten minutes. The blaze caused damage to the wooden trusses surrounding the chimney flue as well as water damage from the extinguishment efforts.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — No one was injured in a house fire that broke out in McHenry Tuesday evening.

The McHenry Township Fire Protection District responded to the blaze in the 3000 block of Mourine Lane in McHenry at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and found smoke coming from the attic of the single-family home, according to a news release from the fire protection district.

The occupants of the home and two dogs were about to get out safely on their own, according to fire officials.
