Santa To Pay Visit To Crystal Lake Hospital Ahead Of Christmas

The Jolly Elf will visit Mercyhealth Hospital and Physician Clinic December 13 and children can take a photo with Santa and receive a gift.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — As local residents prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving and look ahead to Christmas, a local medical facility is giving area youngsters the opportunity to visit with Santa ahead of the Christmas holiday.

The Mercyhealth Development Foundation announced this week that Santa will make an appearance at Mercyhealth Hospital and Physician Clinic in Crystal Lake from 9 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, Dec. 13. The facility is located at 875 S. Route 31.

Children will have the opportunity to get their photo taken with Santa and will also receive a small gift, organizers of the visit said.

Residents planning on bringing their children to the Santa visit are asked to bring a new children's book to support Mercyhealth's Books For Babies drive that benefits families with members in the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit. Checks and cash donations will also be accepted to support the Crystal Lake facility's hospital program and services.
