Save The Date: Lakeside Festival 2025

Here's what we know so far this year about Crystal Lake's main summer festival.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — As we start to finally feel a hint of warmer temperatures — and with summer right around the corner — preparations are well underway for many popular festivals throughout the Chicago suburbs.

In Crystal Lake, Lakeside Festival draws crowds every year to the beautiful grounds of the historic Dole Mansion and Lakeside Arts Park over Independence Day weekend. It's one of McHenry County's longest-running festivalsl and is the largest fundraiser for Lakeside Legacy Foundation’s year-round arts, education, history, and community programs.

Here's what we know about this year's festival:

  • The festival will run over four days — here's when: From 12 to 11 p.m. on July 3-5 and from 12 to 10 p.m. on July 6.
  • The full scheduled of events, band lineup and family activities at the festival have not yet been released but are coming soon. You can check back to the festival website, or Patch.com, for updates in the coming months.
  • Registration is now open for the festivals corn hole tournament. You can get more information here on that.

Typically, the annual festival will include live music, with 14 bands over four days on two outdoor stages, delicious food to enjoy, carnival rides, a great selection of beer and win, Midway games and kids activities like face painting, an ice-cream eating contest and a decorated bike parade.
