CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — Downtown Crystal Lake teamed up with the Crystal Lake Historical Society to create a unique, self-led history tour in downtown Crystal Lake.

And August is the last month local residents can check it out.

There are QR codes located in 10 buildings in downtown Crystal Lake, which residents can scan to get stories and photos regarding the buildings' past, according to city officials.
