Your Guide To June Festivals In McHenry County

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — Summer festival fun is officially underway in McHenry County.

And here's a look at local festivals happening in June:

June 1: Downtown Crystal Lake Pride Walk & Social

• When: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 1
• Where: Downtown Crystal Lake
• What: For those interested in taking part in the walk, meet at Williams Street and Crystal Lake Avenue at 11 a.m. in your most colorful apparel — pride flags and boom boxes are welcome. The walk will continue from Williams Street, to Woodstock Street to Grant Street. Following the walk, there will be a festival in the Brink Street parking lot.

June 6 to 8: Harvard Milk Days

• When: June 6 to 8
• Where: Harvard
• What: Harvard Milk Days is one of the longest-running festivals in Illinois and is meant to honor the area's dairy legacy. Festival highlights include a more than two-hour long parade, rides, games, food, fireworks, petting zoo, Jr. Cattle Show, races, contests, antique tractor show, entertainment, shopping, and more.

June 7: Midwest! B4 Summer Festival

• When: 3 to 11 p.m. on June 7
• Where: Richardson Farm, 909 English Prairie Road, Spring Grove
• What: There will be music from Modern Day Romeos, Rok Brigade and Pino Farina Band as well as local food trucks and breweries at the site offering up food and drinks. In addition, there will be zip lining, gemstone mining, bourbon tastings and a fireworks finale.

June 13-15: Woodstock Pride Festival

• When: June 13-15
• Where: Woodstock
• What: There will be a rainbow run, pride parade, art shows and a full day of entertainment around the historic Woodstock Square.

June 28: Stars & Stripes Fest

• When: June 28
• Where: Cary
• What: There will be food trucks, inflatables, live music from Modern Day Romeos, beer tents and a spectacular fireworks show after.
