2 Darien Residents Charged With Battery: Cops
In one case, a dispatcher heard yelling in the background of a 911 call, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:
Domestic battery
- A 54-year-old Darien man who lives in the 7200 block of Exner Road was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Thursday at his house on domestic battery (two counts), interfering with the reporting of domestic violence and violating pretrial release terms. Police said they went to the man's house after a dispatcher heard yelling in the background of a 911 call. The man was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

- A 46-year-old Darien woman who lives in the 6700 block of Sweetbriar Lane was arrested about 9 p.m. Monday at her home on a charge of battery. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
Disorderly conduct
- A 51-year-old Westmont man was cited about 11:30 a.m. Sunday on a charge of disorderly conduct. Police said they were called to Dollar Tree, 2113 75th St., because of the man's conduct. Officers stopped him as he was heading toward Fairview Avenue. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
