2 Darien Women Accused Of Domestic Battery: Cops
In another case, a man crashed his car while an officer tried to catch up, police said.

DARIEN, IL – In the last few days, Darien police handled cases involving domestic battery, DUI, theft and damage. Here is information from the latest Darien police reports:
Domestic battery
- A 50-year-old Darien woman who lives in the 7500 block of Farmingdale Drive was arrested about 11:30 p.m. June 12 on two counts of domestic battery. She was taken to the DuPage Jail.
- A 37-year-old Darien woman who lives in the 7700 block of Cass Avenue was arrested about 7 p.m. Tuesday at her home on a domestic battery charge. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI

- A 28-year-old Willowbrook man was arrested about 2:30 a.m. June 8 on charges of DUI, reckless driving, fleeing and eluding an officer, driving a car with a revoked registration, leaving the scene of a crash, speeding, disobeying a traffic signal, improper lane usage and driving too fast for conditions. As the officer tried to catch up with the driver, the man crashed into a public easement, police said. The man was released and given a date to appear in court.
- A 56-year-old Burr Ridge man was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday on charges of DUI and improper lane usage. Police said an officer in the area of 75th Street saw the man's car swerving and drifting outside the designated lane, striking the curb. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Theft
- A man told police that a Vivax Metrotech VLoc, a utility locating device, was stolen from the backseat of his truck about 4 p.m. Monday while he was shopping at Aldi, 2251 75th St. The device was valued at $1,000.
Damage

- Someone scratched the hood and passenger side of a car in the 7400 block of Brookdale Drive. Police received the call about 9 a.m. June 12.
- A resident in the 2900 block of Spring Green Drive told police Monday that he had noticed that 25 feet of his grass had been damaged overnight.
