Chain Restaurant Opening In Darien: City

DARIEN, IL – A chain restaurant plans to open in the old Wendy's restaurant at the southwest corner of Route 83 and Plainfield Road in Darien, according to the city.

Renovation work started for Dunkin' Donuts a couple of weeks ago, the city said. It is close to Hinsdale South High School.

Wendy's closed in early December.

Dunkin' Donuts has a couple of other locations in Darien. One is in a 4-year-old standalone building at Brookhaven Plaza at Plainfield Road and Cass Avenue. The other is at 75th Street and Lyman Avenue.

Nearly 10,000 Dunkin' Donuts locations are in the United States.
