Chlorine Leak Detected at Plainfield Road, Cass Avenue Water Tower
There is no danger to people or the water system, the city reports.

Darien, IL - Businesses near the Plainfield Road and Cass Avenue water tower were evacuated Tuesday afternoon after the chlorine alarm sounded around 1 p.m., indicating a chlorine leak.
The City of Darien reports there is no threat to the water system or to people, according to an email sent to Darien residents.
City water plant operators decided the fire department-hazardous material team should handle the leak, and the city anticipates the leak will be contained by 3:30 p.m.
