DARIEN, IL – A Darien woman who was seen swerving on local streets twice threatened to kill an officer and pushed another, local police said.

The 59-year-old woman, who lives in the 8300 block of Highpoint Circle, was stopped after the officer saw her erratic driving on 75th Street and Route 83, police said.

Patch obtained the full police report through a public records request.

Late the night of June 2, an officer stopped the woman in a driveway in the 7800 block of Brookbank Road.

Asked whether she lived there, the woman said she did, but then corrected herself, saying she pulled into the driveway after the officer turned on his emergency lights, police said.

However, the officer said he did not turn on the lights until after she entered the driveway.

The woman then cried, saying she was a "little bit lost."

Asked where she lived, the woman said her home was on "Highland Dead End." She said she was coming from Ivan's place, but was unable to tell the officer where Ivan lived.

The officer said the woman struggled with her sobriety tests.

On the ride to the police station, she accused the officer of working for the mafia and that he was going to have her killed, according to the report. When they arrived, she refused at first to get out of the car, saying she would kill the officer, police said.

At the station, the woman pushed and pulled away from another officer, police said. Then she swung her fist toward the first officer, who blocked her arm, police said.

She again threatened to kill the first officer. She accused both officers of working for the New York mafia.

As she was waiting for her brother to pick her up, she twice offered a $20 bill to compensate the first officer for the gasoline. The officer said it was unnecessary.

The woman was charged with DUI, battery, attempted aggravated assault, resisting an officer, improper lane usage and failure to signal.
