Darien Man Caught Breaking Into Ex-Wife's House: Cops
The man messaged his ex-wife that he had broken into the home, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their weekly blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:
Trespassing
- A 29-year-old Darien man whose address is listed in the 7800 block of Warwick Avenue was arrested about 1 a.m. Saturday on charges of criminal damage and trespassing. The sole owner of the house in the 7800 block of Warwick told police that her ex-husband messaged her that he had broken into the home. Officers found the man in the house. He was given a court date and released. Patch has filed a public records request for the police report.
DUI

- A 37-year-old Lisle man was arrested about 10 p.m. Tuesday near 75th Street and Cass Avenue on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and transporting open alcohol. Police said an officer saw the man's car cross over the center line and strike a curb on 75th Street near Williams Street. The man was released.
Car burglary
- Police were called about 3 a.m. Monday to Extended Stay America hotel, 2345 Sokol Court, for a car burglary. The rear driver's smaller window was broken, with glass inside the car. It was consistent with a window punch. The driver's seat was lying down against the rear passenger seat, and the center console lid was open. The estimated loss was $268.
