Darien Man Charged With Disorderly Conduct: Cops

In another case, a woman was accused of felony retail theft, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

Disorderly conduct

  • A 38-year-old Darien man who lives in the 1300 block of Sleepy Hollow Lane was arrested May 7 on a Lake County Sheriff's Office warrant charging disorderly conduct. The man, who turned himself in, was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Felony retail theft

  • Chazity Carter, 28, of East Chicago, Indiana, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Sunday on charges of felony retail theft and driving with a suspended license. An officer stopped the woman at 75th Street and Lyman Avenue. Shortly before, officers were called to Walmart, 2189 75th St., for a reported retail theft. Carter was wanted on a Kane County warrant charging her with violation of pretrial release conditions. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUI

  • A 23-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on charges of DUI and transportation or possession of open alcohol by a driver. An officer saw the man parked in the entrance drive of Darien's public works building at 8600 Lemont Road. The man was released and given a date to appear in court.
