Darien Woman Charged With Domestic Battery

In another case, a woman with a large bag near a store attracts an officer's attention, police said.

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

Domestic battery

  • A 27-year-old Darien woman who lives in the 7700 block of Gail Avenue was arrested about 11 p.m. Tuesday at her house on a domestic battery charge. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • Shortly after midnight Thursday, a Darien officer saw a woman go into Jewel, 7329 Cass Ave., with a large empty bag. The woman walked through the self-checkout counter without buying anything. The bag now appeared full. She left the store and got into the passenger side of a car. The driver turned from the wrong lane. An officer stopped the car. A 44-year-old Elburn woman was taken to the DuPage County Jail on three DuPage County warrants.

Aggravated DUI

  • Karzill Allen, 32, who lives in the 900 block of North Frontage Road in Darien, was arrested shortly before midnight Monday in the 7400 block of Clarendon Hills Road on charges of aggravated DUI, obstructing identification, driving with a revoked license, illegal transportation of alcohol and failure to dim lights. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
