Darien Woman Returns To Burglarized House: Cops
Someone also tried to break into a nearby house, police said.

DARIEN, IL – One house was burglarized in a Darien neighborhood last week, while it appeared someone tried to break into another one, local police said.
About 8 p.m. Dec. 23, police were called to the 8700 block of Lemont Road about a burglary.
The homeowner told officers that she noticed a damaged doorknob and a shattered window upon her return home, police said. The only missing item was a lemonade from the refrigerator.

Officers checked the house, but found no one inside.
About 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve, police were called about an attempted burglary on the same block. A woman told officers that when she returned, the front storm door was open and pry marks were near the lock and door handle, police said.
