Youths Fight At Darien Library, Cited For Disorderly Conduct: Police

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

Fighting

  • Police were called to a disturbance about 6 p.m. Monday at Indian Prairie Public Library, 401 Plainfield Road. An employee witnessed youths fighting near the stairway. Three youths were cited on disorderly conduct charges. They were given no-trespass notices.

  • Police were called about a problem shortly after 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 7400 block of Brookdale Drive. A man told officers that he and his girlfriend were arguing when she took his phone and shattered it. He also reported the woman took two of his work batteries, put them in the sink and poured water on them. The damage was estimated at $2,000.
