Domestic Battery In Darien Parking Lot: Cops

DARIEN, IL – Darien police released their latest blotter Wednesday. Here is information from the reports:

Domestic battery

• A 37-year-old Downers Grove man was arrested about 8:30 a.m. Saturday on a domestic battery charge. Police said the incident occurred in an accountant's office parking lot in the 8100 block of Cass Avenue. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUI

• A 29-year-old Darien man who lives in the 700 block of Andermann Lane was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday on charges of DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, speeding and driving an uninsured vehicle. In the 800 block of 79th Street, an officer saw the man speed 44 mph in a 25 mph zone, police said. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
• A 40-year-old Woodridge man was arrested about 6:30 a.m. March 20 on charges of DUI, disobeying a traffic signal, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and transporting open alcohol by a driver. Police said the man was involved in a rollover crash at 75th Street and Exner Road. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
• A 37-year-old Lyons man was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Saturday on charges of DUI and speeding. A police officer clocked the man speeding 58 mph in a 40 mph zone in the 8100 block of Cass Avenue. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Fugitive from justice

• Police arrested a fugitive from justice about 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Plainfield Road and Cass Avenue. Police noticed that a car's license plate was registered to a 27-year-old Chicago man who was wanted on a warrant from Lake County, Indiana. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
