What made you decide to start blogging for Patch? I’m a person that likes to give back to the community. I thought I had a lot of knowledge to share since I’ve been doing this for so many years. I’ve been in the hospitality business for over 25 years. I felt like it would be a great idea to help people with their parties.

What do you do when you're not blogging? I work on my business. I’m also a volunteer for Hinsdale Women’s Board, vice president of the Downers Grove Republican Women and Women in Business Chair for the Darien Chamber of Commerce. I keep myself quite busy.

What is your favorite part about being a blogger? I never thought I had this in me so it’s kind of fun to be able to do this. I love to create,  so this is another creative outlet for me. I really do enjoy blogging and writing stories for people. And it’s good for the community — everyone learns from the stories.
